Important Updates: New Dojo Locations and Training Times, Next Kata Course
Due to the closure of Bartley Green dojo we are moving the club training venues and altering the training times.
From April, Wednesday training at Bartley Green dojo will cease, to be replaced with training on Tuesday nights at Halesowen Leisure Centre (Great Cornbow, Halesowen, West Midlands, B63 3AF) from 19.00 until 20.30 in Studio 1, the dojo we used to train at with Shihan, up the stairs good size with mirrors.
On Sundays, we will move to Nuffield Health Rubery with the same training time as usual, 13.00 until 14.30. This is the same venue as the monthly Saturday kata course.
The latest kata course will take place on Saturday, 30th March from 15.00 till 17.00 and will focus on the Shodan kata, so really good for brown belts getting ready for Dan gradings. Training fee is a fiver. All are welcome.
Sadly, the very last training session at Bartley Green dojo will be Sunday, 31st March.
Anyone who ever trained there is welcome to attend for the last time; it had been a dojo for BHSKC for 42 years under the leadership of Shihan Cyril Cummins, 8th Dan. All are welcome for one last training session. Cost is £5.00.
As ever things evolve and change we will embrace the new locations and carry on as before training in traditional Shotokan Karate Do.
Oss,
Sensei Austin Birks
